The boat design consists of 12 carbon fiber parts that will be made by resin infusion – a modern technique providing the best strength properties. Building a mold for each part is a labor-intensive process that may take several days or weeks. Once the molds are ready, the carbon fiber parts can be made with ease. This will allow to build a whole fleet of boats in a relatively short time.
It’s a good idea to try it on a small scale first. The first experiments show satisfactory results even with some mistakes which will be avoided when making the final parts. Currently, I am building a 65-cm model of the boat as a proof of concept before improving the final design. You can see the test molds in the picture.
